I’m Angela, your CHRONIC STRESS COACH.

I help professional women be free of burnout + chronic stress, even with a demanding career. 

I do this work because I stopped allowing work, pressure, and other people rule my life, and I can help you do the same.

I have always been an achiever and strived to do-do-do to perform well, keep everything in working order, and calm the anxiety that needed to please other people.

But over time, this took a toll.

After receiving 4 promotions in 5 years, chronic stress and anxiety drove me to exhaustion.

I experienced chest pain every day, insomnia, adrenal fatigue, and a host of other unexplainable symptoms. I had to take two medical leaves of absence from work and a voluntary demotion <insert ego deflation>.

I was always so busy working, I was not able to be present with my husband and neglected my one true love.

I was a mess, even though on the outside, everything looked absolutely fine. 

I knew I needed to change.

I didn’t want to live an overextended and disconnected life.

I set out to free my heart, my mind, and my body from 3 decades of relentless self-pressure, over-doing, controlling, protecting, avoiding, and perfecting. I wanted to be FREE so bad!

But I didn’t leave my job or go to a tropical island. Instead, I healed myself in the same corporate work environment that triggered my dysfunction. 

Yep, I stayed 5 five more years in my corporate biotech career until I was solid in my transformation.

When traditional medicine and talk therapy failed, I broke all the rules and leveraged my medical background and truth-seeking mind to heal myself. I took 100% responsibility.

I stopped looking outside and looked within. 

 

And today, I am free.

 

I no longer labor over what ‘I should’ be doing. I say no without feeling guilty or afraid something bad will happen.

I take care of myself. I don’t contribute to chaos. I don’t worry about what may happen in the future and how I’ll need to fix it.

I say what I need to say without apology; and I experience love + meaningful connection with nature, people, and animals.

And most importantly, I have a deep sense of ‘I’m OK’ no matter what happens.

If I can change from a Type A workaholic perfectionist to a woman with presence and peace, you can too, even if you have a demanding career.

  • Registered & Licensed Occupational Therapist with a BS from the Medical College of Georgia
  • Certified Integrative Health Coach through Duke Integrative Medicine
  • Registered Yoga Teacher through Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health
  • Registered Craniosacral Therapist through Michael Shea, PhD
  • and have Professional Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Training from the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness
